Hazleton Casting Company, an alloy casting company, adheres to a very strict Zero Escaping Defects (or ZED) policy. All of our people are trained and experienced in identifying flaws that may render a part unsuitable for commercial use.
Accurate analysis of the melt and mechanical testing are utilized for compliance with every customer's purchase order. The chemistry is determined on a spectrometer insuring compliance to specification.
Quality control also encompasses metallography, mechanical testing and dye penetrant inspection. Non-destructive tests are used when specified or when deemed necessary by our engineering staff.
Radiography is accomplished in house and at outside sources.
Since Hazleton Casting is regularly producing pressure containing parts such as pump casings and valve bodies, hydrostatic testing is routine.
Every aspect of the process is controlled and monitored to ensure errors are eliminated before they occur. This involves planning and analyzing processes to determine where errors could occur and then taking action to keep them from occurring.
